Our Approach
Pension Inc. manages all administrative functions of an employer’s retirement plan so you can focus on your primary business, confident that you’re maintaining a compliant and efficient retirement plan. It’s important to us that we do our best to help others create successful retirement outcomes. We do this by taking the complexity of starting and maintaining a retirement plan out of the equation.
Step 1: Initial Contact
- Professional advisor or business owner (or other company representative) contacts the Pension Inc. Business Development/Sales Team.
- A member of our team will reach out to introduce the Pension Inc. story and discuss the value we could bring to the retirement plan and employees.
- We believe the best way to ensure we’re aligned with your goals is to listen. Based on our understanding of your needs, we put our expert plan consulting experience to work for you.
Step 2: Fact Finding
To make sure Pension Inc. is the right fit, we will request a few items to help you evaluate the partnership.
To create a fee and service proposal we would need:
- Number of participants/employees
- Total plan assets (we welcome start-up opportunities)
- Preferred investment platform (full-service open architecture, partner recordkeeper or brokerage accounts)
Helpful (but not required) information includes:
- Copy of a current plan document or summary plan description (if a takeover plan)
- Current fee disclosures or fee statements
Step 3: Presentation
- We will communicate a complete fee and service proposal.
- We will recap and revisit our recommendations and answer any additional questions you may have. If you are prepared to do so, we will welcome you aboard as a client and complete the Pension Inc. Service Agreement.
Step 4: Implementation
- Communication is key when converting or implementing an employer-sponsored retirement plan.
- Pension Inc. will guide the process and keep you informed every step of the way.
- Following are a few of the key implementation items initiated by Pension Inc.:
- Complete document design
- Work with prior providers and investment professionals to establish timeline
- Review employee census and contribution submission
- Develop communication/education plan for employees
We look forward to working with you!
